The miracle extends without your help, but you are needed that it can begin. Accept the miracle of healing, and it will go forth because of what it is. It is its nature to extend itself the instant it is born. And it is born the instant it is offered and received.
No-one can ask another to be healed.
But he can let himself be healed, and thus offer the other what he has received. Who can bestow upon another what he does not have? And who can share what he denies himself? The Holy Spirit speaks to you. He does not speak to someone else. But by your listening, His Voice extends, because you have accepted what He says.
ACIM 27.5.1
My brother and my sister have I "tried" to heal. In so doing, I did not heal myself. I began "speaking" without listening, "fixing" without seeing perfection, "teaching" without learning, judging without really having the ability to judge, "seeing" what happened before and fearing what would happen next, perceiving a "problem" in her and not recognizing the "problem" in me, and so on...
As soon as I surrendered, in an instant I could see that all of this is my learning and my teaching. To share healing and be awake in the oneness of my brothers and sisters, I live and speak to their ears; to separate from them, I fear and become def to all but my ego that has now transcribed the words of God for its own purposes.
When I see this, I know that surrender is the only way in which the ego, which I had so long ago created, will surrender. Embracing and forgiving my Self for this ego, I may see what is true.
